Buy an HP laptop from Walmart, get an HP TouchPad for Free

If you are interested in Installing Google’s Android on to the HP TouchPad (with CyanogenMod 7) then you have to buy a Laptop from Walmart to get a free Tablet.

With a catch, Walmart is offering a limited number of HP WebOS-based TouchPad Tablets this week. You’ll need to buy an HP Laptop if you want to get your hands on the discontinued tablet. You’ll not need to buy an expensive laptop, which is a good news. The Laptops cost as little as $348, which means you can get a laptop and a TouchPad for $497 and up.

For that price you can get a laptop with a 15.6 inch display, a 2.1 GHz Intel Celeron processor, 3GB of RAM, and a 320GB hard drive and a 9.7 inch HP TouchPad tablet with webOS 3.0 and 32GB of storage. You can also select notebooks with 11.6 inch or 17.3 inch displays, but those bundles will cost you a bit more.

Actually, HP introduced the TouchPad Tablet running WebOS on it in july and canceled the tablets less than two months in mid-August due to poor sales. When HP slashed the prices & were available at $100 every one grabbed Tablets sold out almost instantly.

Who bought those TouchPad Tablets has also installed Android on it , and if you  are an owner of HP Tablet then you can also now install an early build of Google Android on the device .

If you are not willing to Buying a computer, here’s one other way to get your hands on a TouchPad. HP is offering $149 Touchpads to WebOS developers. Just Register to qualify for the Developers Device Program and order uo to two devices directly from the HP.
