Asus recently launched the Android 4.0 OS – Ice Cream Sandwich update for its latest Eee Pad Transformer Prime, and said to do the same for its first generation of its Android-based tablet. Users of the Asus Transformer TF101 are potentially waiting for the Asus’s roll out update of the Ice Cream Sandwich.

The Android 4.0 ICS upadate for Transformer TF101 was once again pushed back (delayed), looks like the Android tablet would be getting the update merely next month. ASUS actually took to their Facebook blog to remind their customers that the Android Ice Cream Sandwich update is coming to the Transformer TF101 tablet in February, but the exact date yet to be announced and this news came out, which is to be disappointed to learn.

Asus originally said that the ASUS Transformer TF101 would be updated to the Ice Cream Sandwich soon after the Prime tablet received it, and that pushed back to January and now to March.

Here’s what Asus posted something about the update on its Singapore Facebook page late last night:

While The TF700T is expected to ship in the second quarter of 2012, priced at $600 for 32GB and $700 for 64GB. The Transformer Prime TF700T blew away ASUS enthusiasts with its 1920×1200 resolution that beats most laptops. The new TF700T resolution doubles that of its predecessor, which came with 1,280×800-pixels.

The new model also comes with an upgraded 2-megapixel camera that can be used for HD video chat. Most of the tablet’s glitches have been addressed, changing its back-panel design to increase the performance of GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Apart this, lets hope it doesn’t get pushed back again and Asus will be rolling out the Android Ice Cream Sandwich to its Transformer TF101 update as promised this time.
