ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime Launched In The UK – Pre-Order Right Now!

News surfaced on the web that Asus have launched the ASUS Transformer Prime here in the UK, now goes live for Pre-order for £499. Asus’s new Tegra 3 powered Android tablet is available to pre-order in the UK from today with a number of retailers, which include PC World, Currys, Comet, Amazon, Argos, Asda and many more.

The Eee Pad Transformer Prime sports with a 10.1 inch LED backlit super IPS touchscreen display with a 1280 x 800 pixels of resolution, processing is powered by a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 CPU and which comes with a 1GB of RAM and 32 GB of Storage.

The model already tested was running Android 3.2 Honeycomb, but Asus promises the Tranformer Prime will update to Ice Cream Sandwich, the latest version of Google’s Android software for tablets and phones. The Prime is just 8.3mm thin and weighs 586g. It also features a toughened Gorilla Glass screen, an 8-megapixel, 1080p camera with LED flash and a second 1.2-megapixel camera for video calls. It comes with 32GB of storage for your music, movies and more, as well as a microSD card slot and 8GB of free cloud storage for life in Asus WebStorage.

While Asus is dropping the price for the current model: from now until the new year the Transformer starts at £299 for the 16GB model on its own or £399 with the keyboard.
