Android 6.0 To Be Called As “Key Lime Pie” Comes After Jelly Bean Launch

This news surfaced on the web before the Android 5.0 “Jelly Bean” didn’t gone live, might be a rumor of Android 6.0 being called “Key Lime Pie”. While the 5.0 Jelly Bean is being spoken, rumors of 6.0 Android mobile operating system came out.

Earlier today, this was it, Asus will be the first to launch an Android 5.0 “jelly bean” based tablet and now this comes out, Android 6.0 To Be Called As “Key Lime Pie”.

According to The Verge, they have been tipped by a reliable source today that Google will be using the name “Key Lime Pie” for the version of Android that comes after Jelly Bean. The prediction of the Key Lime Pie name differs from reports published last year over at the IndoPost website who speculated that Android 6.0 could go by the name of ‘Kettle Corn’ which is a type of delicious pop corn.

And the source also said – we haven’t even seen Jelly Bean yet, after all — but it’s reasonable to think that it could be a 2013 deliverable, particularly as Google has slowed down Android’s iterative pace over the past couple versions.

The ICS being released to the public at the back end of 2011, and Jelly Bean being widely tipped to be available this Fall, we might see the latest version of the Android OS being shipped in late 2013 as said.

Lets wait and see the next Android version of OS could be 5.0, 6.0 or 7.0 or …… or the features and content of the proposed ‘Android Key Lime Pie’ is anyone’s guess.
