Android 5.0 Lollipop Finally On Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Demonstrated [Video]

Google has already started rolling out the Android 5.0.1 factory images download for the Nexus 7, Nexus 9 and Nexus 10 and we already seen 5.0 Lollipop being showcased on the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S4. Now, SamMobile has managed to get their hands on the Lollipop ROM for the new Galaxy Note 4. In action video, it has been demoed on how it looks like.

After seeing the images and videos for S4 and S5 Lollipop ROMs, what to expect now. The general look and feel of the UI is still very much TouchWiz. As you can see in the images, many applications and UI elements have been updated with Google’s new ‘Material Design’ overhaul and the notifications pull down menu is now translucent.

There are only minor changes in the UI, most notably in the notification area and Samsung still sticking to its own UI design and making minor modification to fit in with the new Material Design of Lollipop. This could change by the time Samsung releases the final build of the Android 5.0 ROM for the Galaxy Note 4.

The settings menu now features side scrollable tabs for different sections like quick settings, connections, device settings, and more. Now it got an on-screen back button in the settings sub-menus. Finally, all the native apps such as messages, dialer, calendar, email, task manager, and clock have also been upgraded with Material Design.

Notably, you could now notice shortcuts for slow-motion and fast time video (time lapse videos) modes in the camera app.

Currently, we have got no exact date for the release of Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Galaxy Note 4, but soon after Galaxy S5 gets Lollipop, all the other predecessors and new ones will be treated with the all new Material Designed Android 5.0 update. Stay tuned!
