Yesterday, we had talked about what would be the Google Nexus 6 to be called, (Nexus X or Shamu) and also about Motorola’s 5.9-inch phablet “Moto S” and DROID Turbo and alongside, shown you pictures of the leaked back cover as well. But it is gonna blow your mind, after reading this article about the size of the aforementioned handsets.
According to 9to5Google, already posted a mock-up image that’s reportedly based on the real next-generation Nexus smartphone. As per the source picture, the Nexus x aka Shamu looks a lot like Motorola’s Moto X (2014) or else called it Moto X (2nd Gen). But it is bigger and sports a 5.92-inch display, instead of a 5.2-inch one. It also has a larger, 3200 mAh battery – that’s 900 mAh more than what you get with the Moto X.
The rest of the rumored Nexus X features are in line with a quad-core Snapdragon 805 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 12-megapixel rear camera with 4K video recording capability, and a 2MP front sensor onboard. The mammoth 5.9-inch screen of the handset supposedly offers a 1440×2560 pixel (quad-HD) QHD resolution which translates into 498ppi density.
Notably, as per the source, the upcoming smartphone will “almost certainly” be Nexus-branded. Rumors also suggest the Nexus X will officially go on sale in mid-October, alongside the alleged HTC’s 9-inch Nexus tablet (Nexus 9), possibly running on the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system, the Android L out-of-the-box.
Still, no official confirmation regarding the new Nexus smartphone pricing, as well as on the HTC Nexus 9 tablet and Motorola DROID Turbo and Moto S. Stay tuned!
