AirDroid 3 Out Of Beta, Now Lets You Mirror Android Phone On Your PC or Mac

Now that the AirDroid for Android has been given a major upgrade in v3.0. The app has got a companion desktop apps for Windows and Mac that brings iOS Continuity like features to your Android device. The latest version app of the popular web based management further enhances multitasking capabilities between smartphone and desktop computer and many more to dig right after this fold.


With the new desktop app, you can get notifications from your phone on your PCs. You can now reply to SMS from your OS X or Windows computer or even pick up or receive calls. It comes with an updated UI and a few new features, and the inclusion that got a big change would be the addition of stand-alone clients for Windows / Mac.

AirDroid 3 supports new features like mirror apps, so that you can mirror apps on your computer and for instance you can reply to WhatsApp messages from your PC. Mirroring apps only work on rooted Android devices currently. With that already situated, it also brings end-to-end encryption for SMS, app notifications, contact info, and other data sent between your Android devices and the AirDroid desktop app.


About the AirDroid 3 encryption capabilities, the company says that the feature uses “typical public-key cryptography,” as well as some security technology the company developed in-house. Additionally, AirDroid 3 includes AirMirror that allows users to wireless display all of the activities on your phone directly to a desktop.

A wireless transfer feature allows transferring of files from device to device which also transfer files between your computer and mobile device. There are some file size restrictions depending upon the plan you choose.
