PictoKeyboard For iOS Adds Unicode Symbols To Your iPhone Or iPad Keyboard

Here comes a new jailbreak tweak that will be adding some little icons and symbols to everything you write through the iOS Software keyboard. PictoKeyboard is another Cydia tweak that makes your iPad or iPhone keyboard easier and better than ever to insert unicode symbols – such as this one, , for expample – into text fields on an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

Think you have been seeing the latest trend of adding the Apple logo to your Twitter username or a little black icon shows in your profile page. I wounder how that can be done? Using the magic of Unicode, actually.

I am one of those who likes to add a little fancy icons and symbols to everything from my tweets ato E-mails, and i am lucky, you will be too, if you don’t mind jailbreaking your idevice to get this little tweak of complete goodness.

This new jailbreak tweak allows users to use Unicode icons anywhere in iOS, long as the keyboard can be invoked. An Alt handy tweak similar to Emoji. You can effectively turn the said keyboard into a collection of icons to choose from, adding a little variety to our lives that couldn’t normally be achieved with just 26 letters to play with!

After downloading and installing, PictoKeyboard on your iOS, it replaces a little-used and  unused international keyboard with the new Unicode one, meaning that you can add Apple icons and smiley faces to your content, means that this international keyboard is enabled, PictoKeyboard is displayed, instead. From here, unicode symbols can be added into aby given text fields quickly and smoothly.

PictoKeyboard currently works with all iOS 5 devices including the iPad, and is available via Cydia right now under the BigBoss repo.

This is the beauty of the jailbreak scene – there really is something for everyone in Cydia, especially if you like to customize the stock iOS experience.

Now you acn grab this PictoKeyboard in the Cydia Store for free and well mentioned its compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch (under iOS 5). Great experience!

Well you will be needing a jailbroken iOS device to install Cydia and add this tweak to it:
